Thanks to Wildhorse & Roundhouse for mucho libros (or lots of [Spanish] books).
The UCSLD was thrilled to be able to travel to Guadalajara, Mexico to purchase original Spanish language books for all 12 public libraries in Umatilla County. This trip was made possible with funding from the Wildhorse Foundation in the amount of $6000, and the Roundhouse Foundation in the amount of $2500. With these funds and funds the Umatilla County Special Library District and the City of Umatilla contributed, Heather Estrada (UCSLD District Director) and Susie Hansen (Umatilla Public Library Director) were able to travel to Mexico in December of 2024 and purchase $10,000 worth of books. These books have now been distributed to all of the Umatilla County public libraries and the books are, or will soon be, available for check out across every library in the Sage Catalog.
